This is my neighborhood Circle K, just a short walk from my house, at the corner of Southern and Hardy Avenues in Tempe, Arizona. This convenience store was famously used as a location for the filming of Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure in 1989.
If you stop by someday and Haley is working behind the counter, be sure to ask, “When did the Mongols rule China?” Haley was not born when the movie was released, but she is a good sport and will play along. She will shrug and say, “I don’t know, I just work here,” even though she knows the answer.
