I love a good gloomy day, but the Pacific shore transforms once the marine layer burns away. If you get to the beach early enough for the fog, and stay long enough for the sun, it’s like getting two beaches for the price of one.

Surf Lab: This is an experimental shot, posted here just for fun. I was trying to achieve watercolor effects in camera using long exposures and deliberate camera movement. I just need more beach time to work on it.
