Aspen Update.

A few views of the color development at the San Francisco Peaks. Please click any photo in the set for enlargements. These were taken midweek on a morning with heavy frost on the mountain tops. The next day there was a light dusting of snow – the first of the season. Peak color is very fleeting, dazzling for just a few days before the leaves are all stripped away.

The top and bottom photos are views of Humphreys and Agassiz Mountains. The smoke is from controlled slash pile burning.
