Unidentified skipper (Family Hesperiidae), in Portsmouth, Virginia.

I think this might be one of the roadside skippers (Amblyscirtes sp.), but what I don’t know about butterflies is a lot. 

CORRIGENDUM: Many thanks to dendroica for suggesting that this is likely a female zabulon skipper (Poanes zabulon). When it comes to butterfly identification, I have always depended on the kindness of strangers.
