Through December 10 I am offering a 10% discount on original scratchboard art at my Etsy shop. Discounts apply to your total order, excluding shipping costs. Use discount code HOLIDAY2016.

These copper and malachite-green dragonflies were inspired by petroglyphs on South Mountain, near my home in Tempe, Arizona.

In addition to scratchboard renderings of petroglyphs, I also sell stylized drawings of desert flowers and landscapes through my Etsy shop. This pair of claret cup cactus blossoms on an ochre background is matted but not framed; shipping costs to addresses in the U.S. are low, and it can be shipped internationally too. Please click through for more information or to place an order.

And if you are in the Phoenix area, I’ll be selling at the Jackalope Indie Artisan Market in Scottsdale on November 26 and 27. Please plan to stop by!

I’m busy preparing for my first arts and crafts show – the Jackalope Indie Artisan Market on November 26 and 27 in Scottsdale, Arizona. I just posted thirty new original art pieces to my Etsy shop. This scratchboard rendering of a bison, inspired by a petroglyph in Canyonlands National Park, is going to be on display and for sale at my booth – unless someone clicks the link and snatches it up first.

I’ve added several new items to my Etsy shop, including this scratch art rendering of a reclining flute player, inspired by rock art imagery found near Sedona, Arizona. The figure might represent the trickster Kokopelli, who is usually shown playing a flute, and often appears as a hunchback or with a twin. He is sometimes shown in animal form, or as a man wearing an animal disguise. And because he is a symbol of fertility, he is sometimes depicted with a comically disproportionate phallus, or cavorting in a suggestive way.
