Sunrise at Duck, North Carolina. Please click to enlarge.
At dawn there were about twenty other adventuresome photographers on the beach with me, but they sensibly went back to their rooms for more sleep or morning coffee as soon as the sun was up and their snapshots were done, while I stayed to take more pictures. I have dozens of experimental shots of seafoam and waves that I will post in small batches over the next few days (You’re welcome). I’ll stop today with this conventional shot of an Atlantic sunrise. On the Outer Banks conventional is the word in use as synonym for resplendent or magnificent.
