Chicago Harbor Light.

The lighthouse was originally constructed in 1893 to coincide with the World’s Columbian Exhibition as a showcase for U.S. maritime technological and engineering skill. It was moved to it’s current location in 1919.

Draped Statue No. 1.

The Roger McCormick Court at the Art Institute was closed for renovation, but the statues – all draped with plastic drop cloths – were still visible from the mezzanine. I found the combination weirdly appealing.
