Camera Update: I’ve decided to delay purchase of a replacement camera for a few more weeks, in order to get a nice upgrade from my old dead entry-level Nikon DSLR. Senior citizen, miserly old bastard, cautious spender, fixed retirement income, blah blah blah, circle all that apply. I think it will be worth the wait.

Bird Note: The Carolina wrens that fledged last week are still hanging about, and still relying on Mom and Dad to feed them. The babies congregate in a low shrub and start peeping for food, the adult male takes a sentry perch on a branch overhead and sings and chatters, while the adult female provides the (literal) grub. I don’t expect this cozy arrangement will last much longer. Someone’s going to get kicked out soon and told to get a job.
