Sonoran Light: Interpretations of Field of Light by Bruce Munro, at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, Arizona.

This installation comprises over 30,000 gently pulsing LED spheres and lucite fibers draped among the cactus on 4 acres (1.5 ha) on Garden Butte. 

I was honored to be invited to the press preview of the exhibition last night, and will be featuring photos over the next days. These will be mostly abstractions and impressions that photo-paint the lights using long exposures and camera motion, rather than straightforward documentary shots. Those are better left to more capable photographers. You can see some of these amazing images at Mr. Munro’s website.  The exhibit at the Desert Botanical Garden runs until May 2016.
